Create a Vanbreda app account via itsme®
Step 1: Download/update your Vanbreda app via
On your smartphone/tablet, open the Google or Apple (iOS) app store and search for 'Vanbreda':
Step 2: Open the app and create your account via itsme®
After downloading/updating, open the Vanbreda app and follow these steps:
- First, we'll show you the main features of your new app
- If you want to use the Vanbreda app for the first time, press Create Profile. This step is necessary first, only then can you log in with your profile
- Now choose register with itsme® and link your existing itsme® account
- Once your itsme® account is linked, enter your first name, surname and e-mail address, agree to the terms of use and privacy statement, and then press the Create Account button
Step 3: Logging in via itsme®
You are almost there, now you just have to log in once via itsme® and then your account is created
- Click on the "login via itsme®" button and log in
Step 4: Linking your policy
- Enter your date of birth and memberID (not that of your child or partner)
- We look up your details in our database to get you up and running with the app quickly
- Confirm your details below and your policy is linked
The Vanbreda app indicates whether the code will be sent by e-mail or by post
- Either to your e-mail address already registered for your medical records
- Go to your mailbox and write down the registration code you found in the e-mail from Vanbreda
- Check your spam folder to be sure

- Open your Vanbreda app again and enter your registration code to link your policy
- Confirm your details and your policy is linked
- Or via letter to your home address if we haven't registered your e-mail address in the past
- BPost will deliver our letter to you. This may take a few days, please be patient

Step 5: Add a family member in your app to manage his/her medical records digitally?
Adding a minor family member?
- We've already ticked them for you, easy right!
- You confirm the data immediately
- The policy is linked immediately
Add multiple family members?
- Tick each family member you want to include in the app
- Your family member receives his/her personal registration code by mail or by post
- The Vanbreda app indicates whether the code will be sent by mail or by post. By post, this may take a few days, please be patient
You can also enter the registration code via the More menu at the bottom, click on Family members and choose the family member for whom you want to enter the registration code
Step 6: Set security method to open your app
- Choose a 5-digit PIN (and repeat it)
- Activate TouchID (fingerprint) or FaceID
Step 7: Complete the activation of your adult family members
- As soon as your family member receives his/her personal registration code, you can enter it in your Vanbreda app
- Open your Vanbreda app and go to the More menu at the bottom:
- Click on Family members and choose the family member for whom you want to enter the registration code
- Enter the code, confirm the details and the policy is linked
Tip: with this profile you can now also log in to the Vanbreda Portal (app.vanbreda.be)
