Frequently asked questions

What is the pre-post period?

Hospitalisation often involves other costs that you do not incur during the hospitalisation itself, but which are related to it. For example, medication, visits to a specialised doctor, physiotherapy or medical examinations before or after your admission.

How long are my costs covered in case of hospitalisation?

Most policies provide for the reimbursement of ambulatory expenses that are directly related to your admission.

Why does Vanbreda refuse certain costs?

Not all costs are covered: for example, non-medical costs (wifi, telephone, care products) will never be reimbursed by your insurance company. For an overview of the costs, exemptions, limits and restrictions covered, please refer to your policy conditions.
