Pharmacy expenses

Submitting pharmacy expenses for reimbursement is simple. On this page, you’ll learn how to submit your expenses for hassle-free reimbursement.

Which pharmacy costs are reimbursed?

The reimbursement of your medication depends on your insurance policy. Under most insurance plans, only medication prescribed by your doctor and registered medicines are reimbursed. Food supplements, vitamins, personal care products and other over-the-counter items are usually not covered.

Which documents do you need for reimbursement?

Getting your pharmacy expenses reimbursed is straightforward. When you purchase medication, your pharmacist will scan your personal AssurPharma barcode. This code is always available in the Vanbreda App. That’s it – you don’t need to do anything else. All the necessary information is processed automatically by our team. If your pharmacist still gives you a paper certificate, you no longer need to send it to us.

Tip: Don’t have your AssurPharma barcode with you? Then ask for a printed BVAC certificate and submit it online via the Vanbreda App or the web portal.

Tips for smooth reimbursement of your pharmacy expenses

Your AssurPharma barcode is the key to quick reimbursement of your pharmacy expenses. Have you already created a personal profile in the Vanbreda App? You can easily access your AssurPharma barcode directly in the app. Prefer to access your AssurPharma code without using the Vanbreda App? You can also register with AssurPharma using your email address. [LINK] Your AssurPharma barcode is fully digital: you won’t receive a physical card by post.
